Is there any way to put a timer on your EC500? Example: Hit the button when you come in to work in the morning and 8 hours later it turns itself off.
Anybody have any ideas?

Nope. It's manual on, manual off. However, using the Telecommuting Access Extension (TAE) your users can dial in and manually turn it off remotely.
I am trying to activate my telecommuting access. I have it set up per avaya.support.com but when I dial the # for TA, then the EC500 access code and then the ext nothing happens.
I want to be able to turn EC500 off and on remotely. any ideas would be helpful
I am currently on CM 3.1 and the EC500 button on the phone has a timer option to the right of the button. If you select Yes, it will keep the phone enabled for EC500 up to an hour. If it is set to No then you can only toggle on and off as ahays has indicated.
