in the PBX: add ds1 [board location]
Bit Rate: 1.544
Signaling Mode: isdn-pri
connect: network
Interworking Message: PROGress
Interface Companding: mulaw
Idle Code: 11111111
Line Coding: b8zs
Framing Mode: esf
Country Protocol: 1
Protocol Verion: a


This is a common setup in the USA.

The attached document (downloaded from the Avaya Business Partner Website) contains ISDN Protocol setup information for a wide range of CO PBX types.
