Question DCS over IP?

Greetings All!

I currently have a T-1 tie line between two Definity G3 switches. Of the 24 channels in the bundle, 1 is used for signalling, and 1 is used for DCS. Recently, I have created an IP pathway between the two locations. I would like to move the DCS traffic to IP. Both switches have CLAN cards installed. Can anyone point me in the direction needed to migrate the DCS traffic to IP?

Thanks!

You have to set up your node-names for each c-lan and appropriate interface information. I assume that you have set up a certain number of trunks as IP and you established dcs on that trunk group. Use 5003 as the channel number for each location. Port number should be 0 Appl = dcs the main site mode will be the server, the far site will be the client. On the mainsite the local/remote and machine ID will be the far site machine id, and the far site settings will be channel 0, port 5003 local/remote = far site id, and machin id = main id. Place these settings on a line corresponding to the far site id in the form. Make sure they are both enabled when you are done with administration.
