Question Need two sources of MOH without partitioning the switch

I do hope you can help. I'm looking for a way of having two cources of music on hold with our definity g3r. Essentially we want to launch a new product range and would like to have separate music on hold for the new product range. I know that we can do this by partitioning the switch and ultimately will look to implement this, however given time constraints I'm looking to see if there is any other way of doing this.
Your help would be greatly appreciated.

It can be done two ways:

1) Tennant Partitioning as you mentioned in your original post.
2) Vectoring.
a) change announcements
b) make announcement type analog-m for an analog port, aux-trk-m for Aux Trunk.
c) Under Queue put "b" for bardge in
d) In vector, wait time xxx seconds hearing 1234 (where 1234 is the announcement)

I don't understand how this would work. Can you explain in more detail how this announcement will be activated when you put a call on hold and would this announcement play in a continuous loop? I do understand how Tenant Partitioning works.

Thanks

First, it's not an announcement. It's a music source. It just happens to be administered on the announcement form. As a music source the <b>arge-in queue option is very important, otherwise the PBX will wait for the begining of the announcement (which doesn't exist) and the caller will never hear the music.

Second, the music source will only play to callers while they are in the vector. This makes it a great place for promotional announcements via CD or CART or digital loop while they are waiting for an ACD agent. It also allows the marketing department to change and customize the source at will. However, if the call is re-directed to a station and that station places the caller on hold then the caller will hear the system-wide music on hold. Therefore, PBX users employing this method usually employ a "generic" music source for system-wide access and specific marketing sources via the announcement form for VDNs, Hunt Groups, etc.

Finally, if you want two different music-on-hold sources when placing callers on hold from a station there is only ONE way to make that happed: tennant partitioning. Tennant partitioning will follow the original source ... i.e. if station 1234 answers VDN 4567, 4568, or 4569 the music source will be determined by the tennant listed within each individual VDN form.
