I just installed my first S8700 using ip connect, and i must say i was very impressed with the system. I used the compatability matrix and made sure that all components were on the same release level.
Ive got an S8700 at the core w/ server seperation using two G600 cabinets. At the remote locations, I have 7 G700 chassis's with LSP's. I tested the LSP's and they cutover with absolutely no problems what so ever. The 4620 sets also cutover to their redundant servers we setup in the DHCP scope with no problems either. :) The only problem I have with the system right now is if the system cutsover into LSP mode, you have to manually go in and reset the MGP to cut back over to its main MGC... but no biggie. Just wanted to share my thoughts with everyone on it. Anyone have any tips or things to watchout for? |

Although I have done several S8700 Multi-ConnectsI have my first G600 IP Connect system coming up next month ... no LSPs, no server-sep, just six (6) G600's in two (2) port networks. Looking forward to the new challenge.
