Post Help with Connectivity to a Lucent IMUX 3000

I'm looking to see what my cabling options are to install a DS1 between my G3SI and a Lucent IMUX 3000.

The IMUX has an intergrated CSU and terminated via RJ-45 connection. My intent is to stay away from using a AVAYA manufactured DS1 cable.
Does AVAYA offer a adapter module that mount directly to the 25 PR. Amphenol female connector on the back of the pbx and convert it to a RJ-45 connection. (Like the RJ-45 adapter for the CLAN card) This will allow me to install a standard Cat 5 cable to connect the the devices together.

Thanks in advance,

Greg

You can get an integrated CSU module or an adapter like the clan deal and make a T1 cross over cable.

use a regular 25 pair cable, connect to either a 66/110 block, take a cat5 cable, punch down on the 22/23 pair, route the cable over to the IMUX and make a RJ45 plug using 568B. White/Blue Blue/white on pair 22, white/org on 23.. poor mans solution..

A Line Side T1 Adapter for the Avaya Definity PBX can be purchased from Jeral Communications for $65.00 plus shipping and handling (a shameless plug for my own company, but I had them custom manufactured for exactly the same reason that you cite). These adapters are basically an Amphenol head with an RJ48C on the bottom of it and are in use at Bank of America call centers coast-to-coast for IVR/VRU connectivity to their Definity PBXs. This is not rocket science and you can surely get them manufactured for less $$$ yourself using the pinout chart that I posted in an earlier thread: Avaya Definity DS1 Pinout Chart

Below is an image of my adapter. Feel free to capture the jpeg if you're going to try and have them manufactured yourself. Trust me, the cable manufacturing sales guys won't have a clue without it:

Re: Help with Connectivity to a Lucent IMUX 3000

Why are these connectors so expensive when they are so easy to make. I took our current avaya connector and rewire quite easily. Would you provide me your resource for parts or kits that I can buy? Who custom built them for you?
