How to change PST timers on a G700?

I need to adjust my Primary Search Timer in a G700 from 5 minutes to 3.5 minutes.

MG-003-2(super)#show mgp recovery

What are the LINUX/CLI commands to change this timer to 3.5 minutes?

MG-003-2(super)# set reset-times ?
Set reset-times commands:
Set reset-times primary-search (Sets the primary search timer).
Set reset-times total-search (Sets the total search timer)
Set reset-times transition-point (Sets the entry point).

I'm logged-in as root and do not have the command "set."

Does Craft have to do this for me?

Disregard. I got it.

I had to go into configure mode, then enter:
set mgp reset-times primary search 4

I guess you cannot do 3.5 minutes, just whole numbers?

Thanks a million!

Correct, whole numbers.

Re: How to change PST timers on a G700?

I changed 3 out of my 25 MG's from 5 minutes to 4 minutes then got a MIN alarm MSS-MG on all other gateways? I went in and put these 3 back to 5 minutes. Do I need to change all MG's to prevent these alarms or am I doing something else wrong?

Re: How to change PST timers on a G700?

I had to go look this up :)

This appears to be an issue with the icmp in-echo-limit value configured in the gateway. It is fixed in firmware in the MG's

3.1 == build 25.42
4.1 == build 26.37
5.0 == build 27.21

You may want to contact Avaya for the update, and have them look up the alarm in their data base for the right fix.
