Trunking Question

Hey Guys,

I have a challenge that I'm hoping you can help me out with. Heres the scenario:

We have 4 G3.11 Avaya switches across 4 different locations within the UK. At present, all of which are linked together using ISDN IP trunks, and a uniform dial plan. All 4 sites can dial each other quite happy.

We now have a 5th site in the US, which is currently linked to our London switch also using an ISDN IP trunk. The difference here is that we dial out to this site using a TAC. This obviously means that we can only dial our US switch from our London office, and the US switch can only dial the London office. What we would like to be able to do is dial the US office over the ISDN IP trunk from any of our 4 UK offices. Please can anyone advise if this is possible with the current setup? Or would I need to add the US switch to our UK uniform dial plan? The only problem that I have is that I do not have access to administrate the US switch.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Adam.

Re: Trunking Question

To use UDP to call the switch in the US it must be in your UDP. You do not have to do anything at the US end to use UDP to call it. You only have to do something there if you want to change how it calls you.

In London you will add the US switch to that UDP so it knows where to send those calls. All the other UK switches will be modified to send calls in that number range to London.
