It is not cheap and your lease price (you don't buy it) must be paid every quarter or it quits working. But if you need this type of program, it truly is awesome. Does have a bit of a steep learning curve though. Just because you know how to use ASA does not mean you will know how to use Provision out of the gate.

Another consideration is the release of Definity you are working with. Provision has different "rules" if you will to what it will and won't download and then put back. In other words there is a method of what you put back and a certain order for different releases and if they aren't worked in the proper manner you will create major problems! Definitely do your research but most people that I know that know how to use this tool have gone through some certification training.

Techma is right. Before beginning make sure you have a backup safely set aside to recover from. Provision will download your entire switch to start with, make sure you leave that file alone and work from a copy of it.
Avaya does have a training program for Provision and I recommend taking it (it's not free). And you need to follow its' rules, not yours and they are not always intuitive.
