G250 MGP Won't Initialize
I have a G250 that, after an attempted firmware upgrade will not initialize. It attempts to boot up, and passes all self tests but gives an exception:
EXCEPTION_RESET_TYPE Exception in tExcTask Here is the complete contents of what I see on the console port when I power the G250 up... ========== Image Banks Integrity self-test passed Device is booting from bank:A NVRAM integrity power-up self test passed X9.31 DRNG Known Answer power-up self test passed AES Known Answer power-up self test passed RSA Known Answer power-up self test passed TDES Known Answer power-up self test passed SHA-1 Known Answer power-up self test passed HMAC-SHA1 Known Answer power-up self test passed EXCEPTION_RESET_TYPE Exception in tExcTask vec = 600 pc=019a9598 ppc=01967658 dar=6f2e2077 r3=6f2e2077 r4=0f7f0110 r5=0000b032 r6=0000b032 r7=019a0550 sp=0f462480 Calling Chain: 00000600 00000638 018e94d8 0011e81c ========== This problem began after I had attempted a firmware upgrade from my CM5 upgrade/install. The installation wizard timed out while doing the post-flash reset of the MGP. My question is, how can I go back and flash an earlier firmware load into the MGP? Is there a way to perform a reset at the hardware level, or anything else that would allow me to restore an older set of firmware? |

Re: G250 MGP Won't Initialize
the boot image can go back to a previous version type show mgp bootimage to determine which disk partition (bank) is Active Now type set mgp bootimage <bank> to identify the bank (A or B) and reset the mgp |
