Definity LDN to Cisco CallManager

I am in the process of connecting an existing Definity G3i to a new Cisco CallManager via an ISDN-PRI. With help from this forum, the ISDN-PRI is installed and seems to work OK by dialing a 2-digit access code and 4-digit extension. The company LDN needs to be answered by the receptionist on the Cisco system instead of the Definity. I am looking for the best way to route incoming calls to the LDN, away from the Definity to a phone on the CallManager.

All help is appreciated.

All calls, whether they be your LDN or individual extensions on the CallMangler, should be routed via UDP and AAR. Now, if you are unfamiliar with these concepts then go to Avaya Support and search on "Administration for Network Connectivity." I would point out the actual manual number but the proceedure varies slightly by release.

Re: Definity LDN to Cisco CallManager

Thanks for the reply Al. Good tip.

My Definity G3siV6 does not presently have UDP configured in the Dialing Plan. Is there a simplistic way to route the LDN to a CallManager without building a UDP? Would a phantom phone assigned the LDN extension number and remote cover point work? There is not a large number of calls to the LDN.

Thanks,
Tony

Yup ... make the remote coverage point the TAC + digits that you want to send to the CallMangler.
