Medpro issue

Hey all, I have a strange one. My Medpro board is only showing the "odd" channels. 1-3-5-7. It is an TN2302ap hv21 fw 117 (upgraded to 118). I have moved slots, changed adpt on the rear, even returned the board as defect, new board, same issue. I installed an older Medpro (TN2302ap hv3 fw77) in the same slot and I can see all 8 channels. I am at a loss. Any help is much appreciated.
I am running an s8400 CM 15x.00.0.825.4 w/ patch 00.0.825.4-15759.

On a side note, both the server and CM show no alarms, yet the s8400 blade has the alarm LED lit. ???

Thanks in advance.

Re: Medpro issue

The alarm light on the 8400 is a known issue.

As for the Mepro, is it the only one in your Port Network? A bad TDM terminator can cause this issue.

Re: Medpro issue

Yes it is the only one in the PN. I just changed the bus terms to two known good terms and only the odd channels show still.

Re: Medpro issue

Ok, changed the terminators & the problem remains. I'm thinking this is a SCC. If so, you may have a bad carrier, or an old one. Have you tried moving the board to another cabinet for testing purposes to see if all the sub processor circuitry is good? And if it tests good, can you provide the J number of the carrier type?

Re: Medpro issue

This is a "normal" condition according to Avaya TSO. When I called in for help I was told by Tier 3 that even in thier labs they only see the odd channels on their medpro's.

The cabinet is a CMC. J58890T1L1 (this is only in my lab, actual cust cab is a CMC, but I dont have a J number on it)
