Re: TN799C Cable diagram!!

A CLAN uses a standard Ethernet cable (leads 1,2,3,6). On a TN799C you should be using the gray adapter rather than the black adapter.

the gray adapter is for an ipsi, the black adapter is for the c-lan and medpro

Actually, you're all right (sortof).

TN799C's and earlier CLAN cards used a 259A adapter. This adapter was GRAY but it was shaped more like an amphenol head with an RJ-45 jack coming out of the bottom of it.

The TN799DP/MedPro/VAL adapters are BLACK and are boxey with an RJ-45 on the bottom and a DB-9 on the top.

The IPSI connectors look just like the BLACK boxey CLAN adapters, but they are grey.

Attached are the CLAN/MedPro/VAL adapter pinouts, including the 259A.

Re: TN799C Cable diagram!!

Guess I should have explained what I meant by gray adapter. I knew what I meant but failed to clarify it. I forgot about the IPSI gray adapter. I was thinking of the Amphenol adapter.

Sorry about the confusion.

Re: TN799C Cable diagram!!

Couple questions now.

Is this a new install or was this working before and quit working?

If it is a new install is the TN799C new or refurbished?

Are you using the gray Amphenol connector?

What exactly is failing? Is it the card, your connectivity, your network, your programming? Where is the actual problem? Until you have done all your configuration programming it will not work.
