Been there, done that. It is best accomplished using ProVision (a tool used by Avaya and Avaya Business Partners). ProVision allows the SS to download your complete configuration, make all of the necessary changes off-line and the re-load the translations on cut-night making all of the necessary changes at once. It saves time, reduces errors, and has a much lower degree of stress involved that that of doing it manually.
I can recommend a BP who's done this before. Drop me a PM of visit my website and give me a call.

I actually used ASA to just export 900 agent logins and then delete them. I added an extra digit in the excel spreadsheet and then used ASA to re-add them. easy as cake.
Also in ASA I did a station renumber from 4digit to 5 on the stations.. ASA rocks! :clap2: One quirk however. it seem on the call master 4 phone they can login and function no problems. they are also on a 5digit number. But on a 6416, still on a 4 digit dialplan, when I login to an 5 digit agent it wont accept it. you hear studder tone accepting it. but it doesnt take. any ideas? ![]() |

A phone which doesn't have a headset or headset button will not let an auto-answer agent login. If a call came through for the agent it would have to put it on speakerphone!
If you need to make the agent able to login to the 6416 change the auto-answer field to 'none'.

My problem is before that. when I login to a 64xx phone it give me confirmation tones. however it doesnt actually take over? does that make sense? my phone extension is 2800 my login is 8800. after I login my extension should become 88800 and have a new COR and all that.
but it doesnt. its just odd. Only reasoning is you can take a 4 digit extension and login to a 5 digit agentID. which doesnt make sense why either. |
