CO Trunks

If I have 2 POT's lines and want to create a CO trunk group for a user to access via TAC.. what's involved in doing that?? Can you use 2 analog ports or does it have to be on a CO card?

Re: CO Trunks

Verify if the POTS lines are loop or ground start and program a trunk group accordingly. You will need a CO trunk card. I don't like to access trunks via TAC as it removes all COR controls normally in a route pattern.

You did not say what the purpose of the trunks are and why they are limited to a single user. Have you considered a personal line instead of a trunk group? Still need a CO card but personal line lets you program to a station button, do dial access required.

You will need a TN429 or TN767 CO Trunk card.
