Recording a new announcement
I'm trying to record some new announcements and I'm having some problems. My station is in the right COS so that I have console access. When I dial the announcement access code, I have dial tone again, and that's where I am supposed to put in the announcement extension that I want. When I do that, I'm supposed to hear dial tone again and then press 1 to record, but instead I get the tone indicating an error.

I'm sure that the announcement extension is administered in CM right? Maybe try a list trace?

Try Change annoucement and go to the last page and administer the extension you wish to associate then name the annoucement and assign it to a board.
