Caller ID Information
We are not receiving the caller's name on incoming calls. We have a PRI and as far as we know we do not have any restrictions that would inhibit the information from being passed to the phones. This is an issue with our upper management as they do not know who is calling and they are receiving a lot of sales calls. We have an Avaya G3V11 PBX system. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Caller ID Information
When you ordered your PRI did you request "name service"? with most carriers it is a seperate service and is chargable...you may want to check with them..and if they say they are sending it have them double check it, We have had several that said they were and they were not. Good luck.

Re: Caller ID Information
also check your incoming-call-handling treatment for the trunk
you have 5 options,, none BN-only (billing number only) BN-Pref (Billing # prefered, if not avail send name) CPN-Only (Calling Party Name only) CPN-Pref (Calling Party Name preferred,, if not avail send BN) I use bn-only, since my phone can only display one or the other anyways,, and we have some vectors using ani in the routing... (I don't know if it effects ani data,, but wanted to be safe..lol) |
