Phone registration error
We are getting registration error on a conference room IP 4690 phone.
Phone is located at remote site connected to HUB site which has s8720 and CM 4.0. when i status station i see "out of service". how do i resolve it? do i just reset the phone or any other diagnosis? pls advise. How do i rule out data network problem? |

What exactly is on the screen of the 4690 phone? Does it say "discovering"? Did you set the phone up "static" or "DHCP"? Did you update the firmware (if available)?
If its DHCP is the DHCP server set up with the correct info needed for the IP phone? IE: Call server, TFTP server, Router, subnet, IP address. "out of service" means its not registered to the PBX. Need more info to help you out. |
