Music on Hold Question

Hi I have just gotten back into Phone system administration after being out for about 5 years. So im having to learn new things. Here is my question!

I have a Definity G3si V12 with no aux trunk or 909 adapter. I have a MOH source that I have cut one end of the RCA off and wired it into a Free analog port which I have spec in "ch sys fea" I tried both the 8 ohm and the 600 ohm with no luck. I have also checked the cor's of the stations and trunks to make sure MOH is set to yes...but all I get is silence. I have used this same method in the past with sucess. Also the MOH box works I can plug it in to another sound source and it works fine

Also the Analog card im using has all the ports free except the one im using for MOH so when I plug in the sound source the amber light comes on so it has some connection. Anyone know what im missing :) Thanks in advance for your assistance :)

Re: Music on Hold Question

Check your trunk forms and make sure "data restriction" is set to NO
Just a thought...if it is it won't work...no matter what everything else is set to.

Re: Music on Hold Question

This is going to sound silly but it really is step #1 in the trouble-shooting process: Place a butt set on the end of the MOH connection before you cross-connect it to the analog port just to make sure that music really is there.
