Sending outbound calls over ip trunk

my main site has IP trunks to each of my locations. Due to a circuit issue at one of my remote locations I went to try sending that offices outbound calls over our IP trunk to my main site for the call to be made by the main sites switch. These calls are failing.. what would be causing that? I put the IP trunk as the first route in the offices main route pattern on the remote site.

Re: Sending outbound calls over ip trunk

do you know if the call is failing at the remote site or on your main switch? you can test that by doing a list trace tac on both sides while making a test call. the error code will probably show you what's happening but if i had to venture a guess its failing because you aren't padding a '9' or whatever your ARS access number is onto the dialed number at your main switch.

Thanks, I figured this out. In the route patter I had to have a 9 for inserted digits and then it worked great.
