G250 modem

Hello all you smart people. I am installing a G250 media gateway. It is up and registered just fine. My issue is, the remote USB modem set up. I have of course followed the instructions to the letter (so I thought) and when I dial into it I get login and password prompts I put that in and it works fine. then it says "starting PPP"
If I do nothing it does nothing, if I hit "done" it says "a connection to the remote computer could not be completed".

What am I doing wrong? I have access remotely through VPN, but we want modem as a backup.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: G250 modem

Your system uses a Point to Point Protocol for remote login authorization. That's what the PPP means. Does your loging have remote access permissions? It sounds as if it doesn't, which is why you can log in through a VPN, but not the INADS line.
