Retrieving VM message from Audix to save to CD.

I am trying to save a Voice Mail message from a VM box on Audix 5.1, I need to save the file to a CD for legal purposes.

Is there a way this can be done?

As with all things, I am sure there is more than one way to accomplish this so any comments would be appreciated.

well, i always just replay it really loud thru my speakerphone and record it via my PC mic or an external mic.. pretty sloppy but works just fine.

Re: Retrieving VM message from Audix to save to CD.

I found another way and wanted to share with everyone.

I opened my Avaya IP Softphone application with my extension, I know everyone will not have access to a softphone. Open a recording software, I use Adobe Audition (any recording program should work). On the Recording Control input for your sound, select Stereo Mix instead of microphone as the input device. Log into the desired voice mail box, press record on the recording software, save as a file, then save to CD.

This set up can also be used to record a voice mail playback message on your voice mail account. You can personalize the message with back ground music if you really want to. Once logged into your voice mail through the softphone and you have already press the options to record a new message. Have a message recorded with your recording software ready to play and once you are ready to record press play.

Hence my mention of sndrec32.exe ... a free program provided WITH Windows.
