Status the link associated with the CLAN and you might have to kick it in the ass ("busy/release link x") to get it restarted ... but it should come back on it's own. regs, .al.

Re: Clan
well I have 2 clans.. 1 dedicated to MM which I'm aware of the impact of VM. I have 3 IP phones and IP trunking to my branch offices. I know they will be out until the board recovers but what about standard digital phones making outbound calls and inbound for non 4 digit dialing call. Where else can I look because I just took this switch over a month ago and this is the first time we have to do this..

Re: Clan
Digital phones do not use a CLAN for their own purposes, only when they call to something else that uses a CLAN. If they are making calls to services or phones that do not use a CLAN, they will work fine.

Re: Clan
The short story behind all this is my current config has both my CLAN's and all 4 MM machines connecting over to my company's network switch directly. we have an Extreme switch that is pretty much for the voice network only. we are trying to eliminate connections to our corporate LAN switch in the event 1 day it should fail.. we would then not lose the voice network so tonight we are moving the cables off the network switch over to the extreme switch which the ports are setup for the correct voice vlan and there is a link between the Extreme and the corporate nortel switch. did I make sense?? The new cables are already pre-run and this swap will literally take 10 seconds so I'm trying to cover all bases.
