Hi,

I face this issue where in a conference 2 users and we are in a 3 party conference. Now i drop the call as i dont need to be in the call. But as i release the call the users in the conference also aget dropped.

Earlier this never used to happen, whenever i use to conference 'n' number of users and i used to disconnect the call, the users would still be in the conference.

I do not know what has changed, i have looked at all settings like COS, COR, system parameters. I think i am looking in the wrong direction.

Hope you can point me in the right direction.

My system is a avaya 8710 cm 3.0 load 346

You may be right about the past, but as far as I remember if the Conference initiator drops the call it ends the conference. Any party that was called by the conference may drop out without ending the conference, but the initiator cannot.

Ofcourse I may be wrong and will wait to hear what others say about this.

If any of the connections involve outside callers, you may need to allow trunk-to-trunk transfers.
By default it is probably restricted, but can be alloed via COS and COR.

try please to separate this problem:if its heappening for all conference calls,or only for outside conference calls?
check please that you have the last service pack for cm 3.0 (10678)

Hi Silvestr,

On testing i found that the conferencing works fine with internal extensions. but the moment i conference callers outside of my network then on leaving the conference then the conference gets disconnected.

I checked the Cos, Cor and Trk to Trk settings but all look fine.

I think i am looking in the wrong direction. could you suggest.

Good Morning

If you haven't already done so, check your System Parameters. Towards the back (I can't tell you what page exactly because they vary with version, features enabled). There will be a setting that controls whether or not the conference host may hang up on a conference.

i checked your service pack and its fine
sorry but in your situation i have only 2 suggestions:
1.open case in avaya support
2.update your CM to 3.1.4 (the latest release of CM 3)
