Medpro

I have a S8700 (cm 3.1) environment with an MCC in my main DC with 5 carriers and another 2 G650's on different floors. I have a Medpro (TN2302) in the MCC and another in the G650 on the other floor (TN2602).

First question is how do I know if I have enough Medpro resources and secondly when I do a 'list config all' the TN2302 has 8 ports and the 2602 has 4. What is that telling me? I have 1000 users. as far as IP connectivity I have only 3 IP phones, Modular Messaging via H.323 and I have several branch offices that we use IP trunking.

Re: Medpro

list measurements ip dsp-resource summary yesterday-peak to measure DSP resources. There are also some list measurment command for codecs and signalling groups.

As for when you list config it's showing the same as when you do 'status media-processor board UUCC' I don't know why there is only 4 entries for a 320 channel card but I guess that each entry equals 80 channels? Atleast with the status command you can see calls up on the board.

Re: Medpro

I'm running cm 3.1.. if I do a disp capacity I see a line saying:

TN2602 Boards with 80 VoIP Channels:1-used 127 avai 128-max

TN2602 Boards with 320 VoIP Channels: 0-used 128 avai 128-mx

'list measurement ip dsp-resource detail 1, last hour' shows:
DSP Rscs - 384

disp capacity tells me what I'm licensed for and according to the above it looks only like 80 but the list measurement shows 384 available to use...

which of the 2 overrides? I want to make sure I'm opened up for all DSP resources on both the 2602 and 2302.
In my switch I have 2 Medpro.. 1 2302 and 1 2602 so I'm not sure what the above is telling me.

Re: Medpro

You probably need licensing advice about the Disp Cap question. All of our 2602's are licensed for 320 DSP resources.
As for the discrepancy. I'll bet this get's a product correction notice issued if you submit it to Avaya. It looks like the system measurements does not take into account the licensing restriction that only allows you to utilize 80 of the 320 available 2602 resources. This appears to be a programming error in CM to me.
