Reclaiming announcement space
We have a few unused announcements on our annoucements boards in our G3R that appear to be taking up space.
When we issue the command list integrated-annc-boards some announcements appear to have an Annc. Number of 0. How do we delete these annoucnements for good to clear up the seconds they are taking up?. Example: INTEGRATED ANNOUNCEMENTS Board Location: 03D17 Time Remaining at 32Kbps: 42 Annc. Internal Announcement Length in Number Number Extension Name Rate Seconds 15 1 1785 NONC (CR) MAIN AA EN=1/SP=2 32 10 24 2 1774 AFTER HOURS 32 42 53 3 1730 EMERGENCY NO/ANS 32 26 33 4 1762 CONTRACT-SP MENU 32 34 73 10 1751 CL -AGENCY 32 15 0 11 32 28 0 13 32 21 0 14 32 6 0 15 32 20 0 21 32 13 |

Re: Reclaiming announcement space
Someone didn't remove the announcement properly, they just deleted the extension.
First, from the example above you have 5 slots you will need to assign extensions to. So find yourself 5 extension numbers you can use that are not already in use. Second, run the command Change Announcements, and go to the last page (I use Previous page from the first screen, it's faster that way). Add in the extensions for this board to map out the 5 unassigned you show above. Third, use an Administrator VT, log onto the newly created extensions for the announcements listed above, and delete the Audio. Fourth, run List Integrated Board 3D17 again, to confirm the extension is still there, but this time with no audio showing. Fifth, run Change Announcement again, and remove the announcement extensions that now show no audio assigned. Last, Save Trans. Remember, the extension and the audio on the announcement board are 2 seperate entities. You need to get rid of the Audio first, then the Extension. |
