CTI cost estimate

Our sales director and my boss want budget estimates for CTI software that will pull up the callers account in saleslogix when an agents phone rings (we have a definity g3i). They are asking if 10k is enough and i strongly suspect it isnt anywhere near enough but i honestly have no clue and i am not sure where i can get any type of quote in the next few hours so ANY input would be appreciated. even a wow you are screwed would help :)

note, we are on a digital switch, not voip

Who talked you guys into a looser like SalesTragix? ;)

You need to engage a Business Partner or Avaya Direct to come in and evaluate your needs and present a cost estimate. It doesn't cost anything to get a proposal and I would really recommend an in-depth study of your needs by a sales and technical organization. Ball-parking the numbers is not practical.

thanks man, would carousel be able to handle this?

omg saleslogix sucks rofl, it was picked out by the former head of accounting before i came here. i always figured someone got a big kickback on that. we use it as an oder entry piece tied to an old version of great pains. custom integration pieces are soo much fun :(

I'll be honest. I'm not a big fan of Carousel, or Cross from that matter. I'd call my Avaya AE and ask them to come out for an initial meeting to discuss your needs. I'd also call a couple of larger Business Partners like NACR or Source. Let them all bid against one another. If your Senior Management is serious about implementing CTI, then this is a good initial step and I would propose it to them. It costs nothing to get quotes and you can also see how serious and/or how much budgetary dollars management might be willing to commit.

Re: CTI cost estimate

here carousel is sometimes unresponsive but the rep and my boss are friends from the theatre here so im kinda stuck with them. plus the other local bp, Hiscall was a total ripoff, charging 2 hours for things that took maybe 10 minutes to do in the switch before i learned my way around it

If you want very qualified and knowledgable techs, contact Xeta Technologies. I've worked with them before and they have never steered me wrong.
