Disk Mirroring

I have an Intuity Audix Map40 R4. I have 2 disks in it and I lost one. I have had to reload it and when I add the other disk it takes it just fine. While rebooting I enter into the SCSI Utility and format the second drive but I then lose the core files needed for the Audix program. If I don't format it then mirroring doesn't work and I get an Alarm and when I look it up in the book it says that mirroring isn't working completely. It is a minor alarm.
Does anyone know the procedure for setting up mirroring? It is turned on in the customer options. I have also added it in the Disk Management menu. What else am I missing?
