Silence on Hold

Hey all!!! First problem where I couldn't find documentation on. I have a S8300/G700 with R13x.00.1.346.0 and Mod Msg w/MSS R 3.0. The problem is, when people are put on hold or parked, some of them get silence instead of music on hold. I tried to duplicate this and ran traces at the same time, but was unable to recreate the problem. There is only one MOH port assigned to an analog port that goes to his PC, which holds the music. I am thinking there must be some kind of pause, as his PC changes to another .mpg file or a delay when it loops back to the beginning. Anybody ever have this problem or heard of a patch that fixes MOH?? Any help would be appreciated!! Thanks, Slow1

Re: Silence on Hold

The first place I would look is in the COR. If these stations have different COR's, music on hold can be disabled in the COR.

Re: Silence on Hold

Martin and all,
As I mentioned, here is the fix. It wasn't COR or COS or "data restriction" (for the IP phones). There is actually several patches to remedy intermittent silence while parked or on hold. The one that worked for us was to upgrade the customer to CM 3.1.2. Remember they were running 3.0.1. That is the fix and hope it helps someone else. Best of luck to all.
