LSP login problem

I have recently installed an LSP on version 4.
The install went well, I added local accounts installed the license and authentication file.
However when the lsp syncronised with the main 8700 server also running ver 4
I was no longer able to log in using any of the accounts I created either on the central 8700 server or the local LSP

its just says "incorrect login"
Any ideas on how i can get access

Thanks

Paul

Re: LSP login problem

Food for thought, just in case you haven't looked.

From ASA log into the main server and verify survivable processor and media gateway.
list survivable- verify translations were downloaded and that it has registered.
list media - verify that it has registered.

Access web interface of 8300 via web browser. If your login and pw works here it should work from ASA. That's been my experience. I'm running 3.1.2.

Security/Server Access- are you enabled to access this via SAT.

Security/License File- verify all looks correct their.

If still no good....telnet to the media gateway and from the command prompt open a session to the icc. Type: session icc This is the 8300.

You'll be promted for your login/ pw see if you credentials work this way. If it works here you can type dsat at the command prompt

Not sure if any of these are the solution to the fix but it may provide you a go around.

Re: LSP login problem

I am experiencing a similar problem. We're running 2.2.2. We have about 40 MGs with 8300s and a 8700/8500 ESS Main system. On about 25 of the MGs we can no longer log in with our ASA logins. The solution that we 'found' last week was that we had to put a later software version on the LSPs than what was on the 8700. If we used the same version (with the appropriate patches and hot fixes), the MGs would take translations, but not the auth file.

I find it difficult to believe that this is the correct solution, but it works for now until we can find a better solution. This was the method that Avaya ended up recommending to us.

Re: LSP login problem

Itīs solved in my case.

You must contact Avaya since itīs a bug issue in this CM version, it has to do with the CM profile base and the ownership of the /var/home/dadmin directory.

They said this question is solved by upgrading to CM4.0.1 with service pack #3

Cheers.

Re: LSP login problem

As a work around, I have built a separate login on the main server "myuse" and password using profile 18, be sure to add shell access. Then do a save trans all. Wait a little while and log in. Has worked for me several times now. Not the best but at least a way in.
