Passing Outbound ANI
Any ideas on how to pass outbound ANI info out of a Definfity G3si v9? I know that the PRI T1 in question will accept and pass on the information. Strangley enough it is working when passing through the information coming from a Cisco Call Manager that is trunking calls throught the Definity. If possible I would like to do it directly from the Defninity itself. Thanks!

I see the local main office number, which I beleive is what we gave AT&T to outpulse if it didn't recieve anything passed from the Definity. I think that is being put out there by AT&T, not from the Definity itself.

There was nothing there, but when I put in a test case it worked! Awesome! Now I just need to put in the info for each station I want to pass the info and it should work. Thanks!

This table is very powerful with lots of cool options, I will suggest a couple for you to play with. Let us assume your DID range is (213) 234-3000 to (213) 234-3999 and you have a four digit dialplan. And that you had some users that do not have DIDs, their numbers are 5000-5999.
You want people to know the DID numbers so those folks can be called directly. In the table put a 4 in the first column, 3 in the second column, third column blank, fourth column put 213234, and in the next column put a 10. What this does is every station that starts with a 3 gets 213234 added to the beginning of the caller id at the receiving end so that person can call back directly. For the folks that do not have a DID, put a 4 in the first column, a 5 in the second column, third column blank, next column put the ten digit number that you want people to call back on, and a 10 in the next column. When these users call out what the person being called will see is the ten digit number you entered. There is much more you can do here but this will get you started.

Thanks for the suggestions. I had played around with it a bit and figured out how to handle sending the outbound DID prefix + extension. I do like the idea about putting in the entries that you want call back to a main number. I am trying to come up with a plan for the roll out now. I think it is a really cool advancement, but I am sure there will be some people who will freak out if they are suddenly providing a direct call back number when calling out. So I have to plan that out a bit. However once we have it in place it should be really nice.

For those folks that do not want to advertise their DID to outside callers, just put their entire phone number in the table and substitute with any other number you want. I would do this for CEO, President, and any other executive officer that do not want every person in the world to know their DID.

BUT, if Mr. Bossman at Ext 3500 doesn't want his extension number going out then make a new entry of length 4, matching pattern 3500 and put the FULL main number (9995553000) in the CPN field. The PBX will find the MOST CORRECT MATCH (in this case 3500) and THAT's where the CPN information will come from. regs, .al.

Thanks for clearing that up. I was wondering about how that would work. I expect to be able to do a couple of blanket entries to allow the DID number to be sent and have a bunch of individual exceptions that will send the main office number.
