Conceal non DID station extensions
Hi,
I have a S8700 and a SI on different sites, both with software version 2.2. The 2 sites are connected with a dedicated 2Mbits connection and have there own unique 5 digits dial plan. In the public unknown numbering list the non DID numbers are conceal and replaced for a CPN prefix; this is working for the outside calls. But when the users with a non DID station extension calls the other site (internal calls), the endpoint users see the non DID number. Is there anyway to conceal the non DID extensions for the internal calls? thanks for the replay. |

Re: Conceal non DID station extensions
I do not know any way to hide the number when one of your fellow employees calls you on an internal call, that is usually considered an advantage. I have never been asked that before so there might be a way, I just can't think of one.
Perhaps if you could explain why you would want to conceal station to station internal calls, someone might have an idea. Of course, the simple answer is to put in nondisplay phones.

Re: Conceal non DID station extensions
I have create VDN`s to measure inbound calls in CMS. In the vector there is a route to station XXXXX command, that station is an non DID extension.
It`s confusing when the internal users see that non DID extension, they also try to call back that non DID extension but that isn`t possibly because the 2 sites have there own dial plan. |

Re: Conceal non DID station extensions
You might be able to use the VDN override feature. The "first" VDN in a call string set to Override=N it becomes the control for that call. It's name, COR, VOA, etc is passed down the line.
So if your first point is a DNIS VDN set Override N and give it an appropriate name such as the TFN, (800)555-1212. Then when the vector routes to a subsequent extension the agent will see the DNIS name not the routed to number. |
