MWI on VDN?
Is it possible to have MSA-SPE messaging on a VDN? I have a voice mail box that was created for a contact center line, but the mailbox number is a VDN. The mailbox works fine for taking messages but I can't get any message waiting indicator to work. I can create a aut-msg-wt light on different extensions with that VDN number but the light doesn't work when messages are left. Any ideas?

Re: MWI on VDN?
Go to page 2 on the vdn and tell it to use Audix. This will light the light. Note the msg light state will not change until a new message is received.
Tip: If you have multiple VDNs that route into Audix you can save some vectors by setting one up to "messaging skill xxx for extension active" where xxx is the Audix hunt group. The same vector can be used for any active extension as the switch will pass the active ext to Audix. Last edited by colt45; August 28th, 2007 at 07:53 PM. |

Re: MWI on VDN?
The VDN form didn't have any messaging area at all. There was nothing you could assign as Audix or MSA-SPE. I think I might have found a solution in the VM itself. It is an Octel, and my BP was able to program it so that when a message is left in the mailbox, it will send the light out for a different extension. That extension is just a dummy station, and I can place aut-msg-wt lights on each of the reps phones for that dummy station.
