TN767 DS1 Error Code
I replaced a TN767E and when I did the other one that I put in came up with test 114 failing with error code 2 then 3 then 4. I can't find it in the maintenance manual on avaya's site. I replaced the CSU and it still has issues. I believe it is the service rovider but I can't explain it to them without knowing what's wrong. Anybody know?

Re: TN767 DS1 Error Code
The only instance I can find for test 114 is for aux trunks and it does not give single digit error codes. Do a long test on the board, this will test the board's internal identification (tests 50 and 52). You might have a bad DS1 board.

Re: TN767 DS1 Error Code
Test 144 is a counter for slips. Whenever you test the DS1 board this will indicate the number of slips that have happened since the last time the board was tested. It should pass with no errors the second time you test it. If it is still failing, your T1 is slipping and that is why you are dropping calls.
It could be a CO problem, but before calling them type "display sync". What is your primary sync source? It needs to be a T1 and not internal clocking. To verify that your PBX is clocking correctly, type "status sync". The answer should be the T1 you saw when you displayed sync. If it shows the sync to be 1A, type "disable sync" then "enable sync". Wait a few seconds and status sync again. If it is the T1, run your test twice on the new DS1 card, if you are still slipping, now call the vendor and tell them the T1 is slipping.

Re: TN767 DS1 Error Code
You may also want to check to see if clock source is something that can be set on the CSU (not all CSUs are straight pass-thru). Even if the PBX is using external clocking off the T1, if your CSU is configured to use internal clocking or the PBX transmit rather than the telco side of the T1 for its clock, you can end up slipping.

Re: TN767 DS1 Error Code
Good point. What kind of CSU do you have? If it is the white 120 CSU that plugs into the carrier behind the DS1, it has no internal clocking option. If it is an external CSU, it might have a clocking option.
