I am trying to Connect Prologix (G3Csi) system with Apropos server for call routing. Apropos server needs Digital Extension Interface of Avaya systems to route the calls. And we need to have DNIS to display the called No. in the Digital Phone (If connected). We have not enabled DNIS in AVAYA as it needs CTI to be enabled which costs dollars for customer. IS there any way i can have called No. display in Digital Phones apart from DNIS?
The system receives calls thru' ISDN PRI and is getting forwarded to Apropos server. Can Anybody help me in this? With regard mks_krish |

Re: AVAYA Prologix Interface with "Apropos"
If you are using digital set emulation, you can program the PIL script to 'read' the display to get the dialed number; if you are using AG4000 or AG4040 cards, I don't think there is any way to capture other than using the CTI link over ASAI. However, there is another solution.
Let's assume you have three DNIS values, 2001, 2002, 2003, and you have 24 ports on a T1 to the Apropos server, extensions are 3001 to 3024. Build a hunt group containing the first 8 extensions 3001 to 3008, and point 2001 to that hunt group. Build a second hunt group with the next 8 ports, extensions 3009 to 3016, and point 2002 to that hunt group. Do the same for the last 8 ports and DNIS 2003. Then, in the PIL script, use the value of the PIL to determine what DNIS would have been dialed. In a very busy or large system, it takes more ports, but it will work.
