Changing Versions And Data-Modules

I have to change my data modules from a Definity V6si to a V8 and I was told that the V8 won't support the technology. I put in the translation card from the 6 to the 8 and it doesn't like it. I was told that I need to take out the data-modules in the 6 and add the pri and signaling groups to the 8.
Does anyone know the exact steps to gather the correct information from the R6 data modules and where to add it all in the 8? I'm not sure what to look for and where it's all hiding. I'm sure it's a pretty easy but time consuming process.

Re: Changing Versions And Data-Modules

V8 does support data modules but I seem to recall the format for programming them is different. Type "list data" and you will see all your data mods, print that out. Then display each data mod and print them out. Some of the data mods will be your system ports and will be in the netcon hunt group.

Once you have a printout, remove them and save your changes. Then your memory card should work in the v8.

You only need to add PRI and Signal group info if you have ISDN T1's.

Re: Changing Versions And Data-Modules

The PI link is #1 and the PI EXT is ISDN and the I.D. is DCS+N3. So would that create the translation corruption that I get when I put it into the R8? Or do I still need to take out all of the data mods and put them back in once the switch is up?
