Transfer To Offsite PBX
I have a problem with an old switch. R6.3.2.239.7 or something like that. The problem is that calls that go to extension 5233 need to go to ext. 2811 after 3 rings. And after that it needs to go to voicemail if it isn't answered. I tried to do it in the coverage path but ext. 2811 is not recognized because it is off site at the 2nd location. So the main switch doesn't recognize that ext. and it's in the UDP. How can I route it otherwise? I don't really understand vectors too well but a good explanation on how to correct this would be appreciated. This si for the owner of the company so it is very urgent!
Thanks |

Re: Transfer To Offsite PBX
If the call can make it to voicemail, you could use the Auto-Attendant Routing table.
From Audix Change auto-attend-routing routing-table Incoming Called Number Bus Sched Hol Sched Day Service Mailbox Night Service 2811 bus1 bus1 5233 5233 |

Yes those features are set to yes. Also on the second page of the customer options there is a field "restrict call forward off net" and it is set to yes. I don't know if that makes a difference.

1) Make sure that CCRON is set to yes in "change system-parameters coverage-forwarding" 2) Make sure that there is an AAR Access Code FAC set in "cha fea" 3) Determine the AAR dial pattern for x2281. To do this you will look at the UDP table and identify the 3-digit AAR Location code associated with the extension there. 4) "change coverage remote" and add the following entry: <AAR ACCESS CODE><3-Digit AAR Location Code>2281 ... so, if 8 is the AAR access code and 221 is the AAR location code the entry would look like this: 82212281 5) add cov pat n: and place the following in point 1: rx where x is the line number that you placed the remote entry on ... i.e. r40. In point 2 place your Audix hunt group. 6) VERY IMPORTANT: if x2281 have it's own voicemail you must ensure that the number of rings is set to a number HIGHER than the number of rings in the primary extension number's voicemail because if Voicemail answers at the remote end then the call will NOT be returned to the primary extension's mailbox since (as far as the switch is concerned) the call was completed. Here's how it works: Call covers to coverage path added in #5 above and call is redirected to x2281 via AAR. The PBX continues to monitor the call and if it is not answered it will terminate the remote call via CCRON and goto coverage point #2 ... Audix. Try that and let me know if it works. .al.
