Vector Usage
Is there a way to run one report to get the usage of all vectors, announcements, or extensions in the system?
I'm doing some clean up and having to run a list usage report for every item. If it can't be done in Definity, is there a third-party app that will do it? Thanks |

Re: Vector Usage
There is a utility thats been around for a while called "call flow extract" that is pretty good. Sounds it might be what you ware looking for. There is a 10 day trial that may work for you. The site is "http://www.utilcall.com/Call%20Flow%20Extract.htm"

Re: Vector Usage
ASA can run a "chained" command string in a scheduled report. For example:
"list usage vec 1; list usage vec 2;" ..... , etc. You need a flat text file with all vector range. Schedule a Report and export to a delimited file and pull the report into Excel. I run a similar command for "disp vec 0001; ... disp vec 2000;" every night to catch a snapshot of all vectors. Running 7 reports, one for each DOW. Send me a private reply with your e-mail and I can send you the flat file for vectors. There is no "list usage ann" so you would need to use "list usage ext". Depending on the size of your switch this could be a LONG file/job. "list vdn" will give you all VOA anns, might be useful. Using "list sta port x" will give you a starting point for left in stations. Then "disp alarms", take the defaults, will show stations translated with ports that fail tests; ie no phone plugged in. ASA can do lots of cool things if you work at it. Should have been at the Seattle InAAU couple years ago. I gave a seminar on this subject. Good luck on cleanup. |
