Exclamation Audix DCIU Problem

Our Intuity AUDIX (Release ia5.0.79) crashed on us. We re-installed the software but Audix is not communicating with the PBX (Definity G3si, R011i.7585.7.0.2). The alarms in AUDIX are SW GPSC_BOARD 0 and SW DCIU_LINK 0 1. We ran diagnostics on the DCIU but it would stop midway. We think the problem is the DCIU board. Anyone got any ideas?

Re: Audix DCIU Problem

When you installed the software, did you also install the tape marked DCIU...
Doing this is a pain as you have to install everything in an exact order or it will fail on you everytime.....

Re: Audix DCIU Problem

Did you reload the software on the system with floppys and the cd's or did you only reload the DCIU package? Also when you boot an Intuity with DCIU it loads the EICON board which provides the link to the switch. If you watch it as it reboots it will say "LOADING EICON BOARD". If that fails then you have a bad board but if it passes then it isn't the board and you should check the link in the switch.

Re: Audix DCIU Problem

After you have verified the first two suggestions (and both are excellent recommendations), make sure the DCIU link is not busied out at either end.

Unhappy Re: Audix DCIU Problem

Hi Everyone,

So we rebooted the system (Thanks Techma!) and it comes up with the below error:

"Loading Eicon Card 1"
"failed (completely or partially)
Then states to use the "more" command to view the file "/tmp/ec909"

I guess the card went bad. Does anyone know where we can get a replacement besides Avaya?

Re: Audix DCIU Problem

While waiting for a suggestion on where to buy a replacement, try opening the computer case and reseat the card (after turning the computer off, of ocurse). This is a computer and the cards can become unseated or the contacts can get oxidized.
