Cool DS1 tip/ring sensitive

Do you know if Avaya's DS-1 circuit packs, any, are tip and ring sensitive? RJ-45 to the network. 1Tx tip, 2 Tx ring, and 4 Rx Tip, 5 Rx Ring. or do I have this backwards? or does it matter?

Re: DS1 tip/ring sensitive

By design, voltage is duplexed across both the transmit and receive pairs on a DS1. The terminating points on either end connect to a coil which is center tapped - this reduces the capacitive effects of the pair - so reversing tip and ring on a single pair should not cause a problem for the circuit.
Do you have an issue or is this just a question?
