IALX not answering

I've been troubleshooting a problem of an IALX not answering. At first I thought it was just when dialing 4-digits via IP. Further testing calling the voicemail hunt group 99 directly on DID ending in 8088 (which is the lead number on the hunt) gets a busy signal. I did a trace on the tac and it shows:

00:47:29 Calling party trunk-group 1 member 1 cid 0x9b
00:47:29 Calling Number & Name 15555551111 NO-CPName
00:47:29 active trunk-group 1 member 1 cid 0x9b
00:47:29 dial 0*xxxxxx8088 route:ARS
00:47:29 denial event 1026: AUDIX Unavailable D1=0x50001 D2=0x9b
00:47:29 dial 0*xxxxxx8088 route:ARS
00:47:29 term hunt-group 99 cid 0x9b
00:47:29 idle trunk-group 1 cid 0x9b

So, I tried to release the members of the hunt (might as well give it a shot).

release station 7000
COMMAND RESULTS
Port Maintenance Name Alt. Name Result Error Code
001V702 AN-LN-PT 7000 ABORT 1011

Any suggestions? I've never worked on IA, and this is happening with TWO new systems.

Re: IALX not answering

Found out what the problem was if anyone could use the info...
In my case, a little knowledge was a dangerous thing.

I've never worked on a switch with IALX so... when I set the Local Node Number in Milan and Hong Kong to be 7 and 8 respectively (which are the next numbers in the IP trunk/DCS linked systems), little did I know that the IALX relies on that Local Node Number to communicate with the S8300. It also didn't clue me in that there was an issue with it because when I compared it to the only other S8300 we have it was set to Node Number 5. That system has an Octel, not an IALX.

Learn something new every day.
