Call Routing

I have an IP trunk between a G3 and an IP Office. I am trying to make calling between the 2 systems seem like we are doing 4 digit extension dialing. I have it working just fine from the IP Office side but on the G3 I'm getting stuck.

On my definity 8 is defined as a FAC and the IP Office extions are 857? Is there a way to still dial 857? and have that call route over the proper trunk group to the IP Office? Right now I am dialing a trunk access code and then the IP Office extension.

I tried chaning my aar analisys table by adding
Dialed Total Route Call Node ANI
String Min Max Pattern Type Num Reqd
857 4 4 30 aar n

But I get a denial when I try to make the call.

When I look in my ARS DIGIT ANALYSIS TABLE I see this
Location: all Percent Full: 24

Dialed Total Route Call Node ANI
String Min Max Pattern Type Num Reqd
857 7 7 p3 hnpa n

I am way off on this or are these conflictin? Any help or point in the right direction would be great.

Re: Call Routing

Make sure your Dialplan Analysis table is set up for 4 digit extensions starting with the Digit 8.

Re: Call Routing

You don't say what release your Definity is but I do see a possible conflict here.

First, if the Definity is old enough you also have to deal with the second digit table for "8" using your existing scenario.

You have an ARS entry for "857" and an AAR entry for "857". The ARS entry will take precedence because the switch will look there first.

If you have Universal Dialplan available in the Definity and there is no overlap of stations between the two systems (i.e. both switches do not have station 1234), I would define an RNX code (UDP) for the IP Office stations. Then put that in the AAR Analysis table with a route to a new route pattern. In the route pattern delete three digits and insert the office code of 857.
