Re: how to connect a 4620 ip phone to CM
Ok, so here is what you've told me so far about the two devices:
PC IP Address. . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.180.3 Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0 Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.180.254 Phone IP 192.168.180.9 - then it changed to 192.168.180.120 mask 255.255.255.0 gateway 192.168.180.254 That the address is changing is telling me you've changed it's config at least once, perhaps while testing the phone at the office; can you please check the settings one more time just to make certain nothing got miskeyed. One thing I never asked you, when the PC and phone are both connected, are you able to ping the IP phone from the PC, and ping both devices across the tunnel from the office? (Another sanity check) - And by the way, there's no possibility the IP address you're using on the phone is already in use? If you have the phone configured correctly and you are able to ping it across the tunnel, you can connect across the VLAN tunnel using the softphone client on a PC that has an equivalent IP configuration, and the phone comes up when connecting at the office, then it's going to have to be something on the VLAN.

Re: how to connect a 4620 ip phone to CM
Ummm.... doing a reset is a required step when changing the config to put the phone into a different network. Sorry, should have thought of that earlier.
