Remote ip users and ec500
We have a location where everyone has a digital phone on our G3xv11/s8700. 3 months of the year about 10 people will work from another office connected by a T1 back to our home office. In the past they each had a 4620IP phone at this 3month location. The reviews have been mixed and is dependent on their T1. In this area it’s been known to completely lose the T1 connection. Is it possible to program EC500 on their IP phone and if that phone fails to also have it go to their cell phone or to a landline phone as a failover?
Just thinking out loud here. Would love to hear some ideas or opinions. |

-OR- (even easier) Simply give them access to the TAE so that they can remotely call-forward their extensions to their cell phone (or any other number that their COR allows them to dial). With CCRON turned on their calls will return to the PBX for voicemail if the cell phone does not answer. regs, .al.

Re: Remote ip users and ec500
Thanks for the reply ahays. We do have a license for ec500 so that isn’t a problem. The people that would be using these ip phones are particularly picky so I was hoping for a seamless way to make this work (if possible).
