Enhanced EC500
We have an Avaya G3siV11 PBX system and have auto-dial buttons configured on a station like this: *1~p7115~p1234 This user claims that he was able to forward his station calls to his cell phone manually by pressing these auto-dial buttons. Now he is not able to. I do not know how to activate this feature for him as I have never used the EC500 feature before. How do I configure this for him and how is this setup on the PBX? Please assist.

Re: Enhanced EC500
For the multi-appearance phones there should be a programmable feature for EC500, press once to activate and it lights, press again and it deactivates.
Select a programmable button ad type in the E then press help it should show all "E" features listed.

Re: Enhanced EC500
What does the code *1 correlate to in your 'feature access codes'. I don't think what you are doing has anything to do with EC500. It looks to me that he is merely forwarding his extension.
The first autodial that you posted appears to enter the FAC for Call Forwarding, then his extension, then his extensions security code. Either that or he is merely forwarding to extension 1234 which is forwarded to his cell phone or covered to a remote coverage point where his cell phone is configured. 1. Check your FAC's to see what *1 does. 2 I assume his extension is 7115? Check this and Check extension 1234 to see if they are forwarded or using remote coverage points in their coverage path. One reason this may have stopped working is a change to the COR pages or to the stations COR. You could 'list trace ext' on his and see what is happening when he tries to forward.

Re: Enhanced EC500
I agree the dial string avayapbxuser showed looked like a forward command as a speed dial. And the COR for the station determines if they can forward off-prem or not.
I sent avayapbxuser an explanation of how I set up the EC500 users. I think he knows the difference now.

Re: Enhanced EC500
If you decide to use EC500 over call forward, I would really recommend that you find the EC500 guide in the CM Docs for your release. While being wordy, it does thoroughly go over all the possible configurations for your site at your release. EC500 at CM3 is so much easier than those Xmoble tables.
But the other boardmembers(heh) are right, the user is forwarding the call, not using EC500. If you want to find out what it's no longer working, I would recommend tracing the phone both when the button is pressed, and when placing a call to it when enabled.

Re: Enhanced EC500
This user is configured for "XMOBILE" and 1234 is not a valid extension number in our PBX system, so I it must be a security code on his Station form 1st page as there is an * in that field, which indicates a password has been entered. It looks like this user's station buttons are already configured for EC500, so I'll have him test it and I can monitor the activity from "list trace station" commands. Thanks to everyone for the help with understanding this. Mucho Appreciated.
