Hi,
I seem to have a problem wich consists not being able to remove some IP stations. the problem is they were attached to a TN2302AP ( IP MEDIA PROCESSOR ) wich no longer exists.(It keeps telling me this :"Object in use; please try later") Does anyone knows a way to remove them ?? Thanks Bruno Santos ONI TELECOM PORTUGAL |

Have you tried adding the circuit pack back in using the command "change circuit-packs #" (where # is the cabinet of the missing pack)? You can fool the PBX by entering the TN2302AP into the carrier/slot and then, perhaps, it may allow you to remove the IP stations. No guarantee, but a possibility. Give this a try.

Hi once again,
Iīve tried fooling the PBX by entering the TN2302AP in the cabinet through the command change circuit packs, but it didnīt work. Itīs strange because i removed almost 100 ip stations and only 4 of them gave me this error. I also checked to see if there was something still conected with them through a command list usage extension XXXX, but it gave me nothing. Thanks for your help, Bruno Santos Oni Telecom Portugal |

Have you tried "busy station xxxx" (where xxxx is one of the 4 IP stations) and then remove the station?

I don't think removing the Med-Pro(TN2302) is what caused the issue, because the only way that an IP station(ie 4600 series phone or softphone) would be connected to it is if it has an active call going. Otherwise, the IP phone only remains registered with a C-LAN(TN799) when it is not on an active call.
I would suggest to try and do a "list registered-ip-stations" and see if you see the extension is in the list of registered IP phones. If it is still registered, then you probably can't remove it because of a feature button, such as a timer button, that is activated on the phone. I've experienced this with CallMasters where agents leave a timer running on the phone and then when I go to remove the extension the system won't let me because the button is on. If you disconnect the phone(busying it out should work as well although not sure why you couldn't unless you don't have permission) so that it unregisters itself from the PBX, then once it is no longer connected you should be able to remove it easily. If it isn't still registered to a C-LAN board and nothing came up when you do "list usage extension xxxxx", then you should probably call Avaya for support for assistance because it sounds like there is something more going on. Also, you can do a "status station xxxxx" and check the Service State to see if it is still registered to one of your C-LAN boards. If it is still registered, then the Service State should show as in-service. If it isn't registered, then the Service State show as disconnected. |

Hi,
Nothing appeared ( the 4 stations we are talking about )when i executed the command " list registered ip-sations". I also checked the ip-interfaces and the node-names ip and both of them didnīt have ip-addresses associated with names. I think there is nothing more to do, besides calling Avaya for support.
