incoming calls go to call center?
This is on a s8700 system - a G350 with a PRI installed to it.
Not sure how or why - but if we have a number thats not setup in our system "properly" from the outside coming in - it routes to our call center - this is nice I guess, but im not sure where that is setup... I have a new PRI im installing, outgoing works great, call the number back in and it goes to the call center. In the trunk group config ive got it set to delete 6 digits and add a 2 (they give me 10 digits) - this is normal and its just like the other PRIs ive installed - so I dont think thats the problem - where else can I look for incoming call problems? Telco made sure its 10 digits they are sending and because its getting to my pbx - there is nothing they can do. Thanks Ross |

Re: incoming calls go to call center?
I am assuming this is happening only to unassigned DIDs. Do a "display sys feat" and find the entry for unassigned DID numbers. Where are you directing them to?
How are you verifying that the misdirected calls are coming in on the new PRI and not another one? Set up a trace on that trunk group and then call one of the numbers that is not going to the correct destination. What does the trace show?

Re: incoming calls go to call center?
I didnt see the unassigned did numbers screen (15 pages).. But I did verify that if I call a DID that we own but is not assigned - it does indeed go to our call center. The DID I am calling/working on right now IS assigned - I can status the station, and make outgoing calls from it, but incoming go to call center - 5 digit internally works fine...

Re: incoming calls go to call center?
Got it fixed...It was all related (outgoing and incoming) the trunk was assigned to a COR that was bad/disabled whatever. Changing it to what the other trunks were set to fixed the incoming issue.
also had some tenant to tenant restrictions on for some reason that I had to enable... Thanks for the help Ross |
