Connect LINKSYS to AVAYA PBX

Hello Guys,

A customer asked me to connect a LINKSYS SPA1001 to a Definity PBX at a remote location. Please note that on that remote location I have installed AVAYA IP Phones and they are working fine. Do you have any idea how to connect that LINKSYS terminal adaptor?

Thanks

The SPA-1001 is an FXS Module (Foriegn Exchange Station). What exactly does the customer hope to do with this module and where is he planning to connect the IP end to?

I just pulled the data sheet on this SPA-1001. The IP portion is driven by SIP and unless there is an Avaya SIP Enablement Services (SES) server in the picture, or some other VOIP gateway supporting SIP at the Main site that can take a station port from Communication Manager then this SPA-1001 is not a happening thing. Communication Manager does not do SIP natively. CM will do H.323 out of the box, but not SIP.
