Audix Cable Configuration
Hi Everyone
I need an urgent support. i have a very old Audix and would like to program it. i have lost the cable and cannot get connected using a null modem cable.Can anyone advise me how i can get connected serially. Appreciate your urgent support.

Audix Cable Configuration
Hi Everyone
OK. there are few cables coming out from the audix. form those cable there is a RJ connector cable. can someone explain if that cable is for dailing purpose. Please help me.

I am on vacation this week and I just ran across your post. I need a clarification on what you mean by "very old Audix". The Intuity Audix is accessed remotely by a modem, locally by a terminal. The modem is either external or internal depending on the age of the Intuity. If it is fairly recent, the external modem will be a US Robotics modem, if it is older the modem will be an AT&T (or Lucent) 3820 modem. There is no work around using a null modem cable for remote access.
The Intuity Audix is a PC and will be either a MAP5, MAP40, or MAP100. If it is older than that then it will look like a single carrier G3si. There is another model called an Audix Voicepower, it looks like a PC but makes a better boat anchor. Older than that, don't waste your time unless it is a toy. Do you know the "sa" password? Without that, you are dead in the water.

Audix Cable Configuration
Internal Audix for G3si. Not a toy but for hotel application.I have been using an interface cable from the audix cable to the null-modem cable which goes to the terminal. It has been working until i lost connection and opened the connector to findout that the soldering has come out.

I remember going through the same problem. After a few tries I was able to connect using the following wire map (see the attached PIC). The wire map is the internals of a serial to RJ45 converter.
The 25 pin male adaptor plugs into the serial on the audix tail and the 9 pin female adaptor is for the PC. |

Since you didn't tell me what was broken, here is the complete pinout.
Female end 1-GND 2-BL/W 3-W/BL 4-O/W 5-W/O 6-G/W 7-W/G 8-BR/W 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20-W/S 21 22 23 24 25 There is also a splice, the BR/W lead is spliced to the S/W lead. Male end 1-GND 2-W/BL 3-BL/W 4-BR/W 5-S/W 6-W/S 7-W/G 8-W/O 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20-G/W 21 22 23 24 25 At this end the splice is W/O to O/W.
