Re: denial event 2329
Did this denial event happen only once or can it be repeated consistently? Also, did both denial events (1644 and 2329) occur each time? Getting two denial events on a call is unusual.
The D2 entry is the key to the problem so I will break down the D2 for denial 2329. The description for denial event 2329 is "No bandwidth channel resources between processor and IP end point". D2=0x31b breaks into two parts, 0x3 is the location of the problem and 1b is the cause. 1b converts to decimal 27 and 0x3 is location code 3. The descriptions follow, quoting from the book. 0x3 = Transit Network. For example, the long distance network to which the call was passed by the LEC. 1b = Destination out of order. The call cannot be delivered to the remote endpoint because the interface to the endpoint is not functioning correctly. A signalling message could not be delivered to the remote device (for example, there is a physical or data link layer failure at the remote device, or the remote device is turned off). Communication Manager does not originate Cause Value 27. In english this means the device you were calling is either programmed incorrectly, turned off, something has failed at the far end, or there is a network problem. In any case, the problem is not at your end.

Re: denial event 2329
I have a very similar issue for all IP phones, when you pick up to try and get dial tone the trace says:
13:16:04 denial event 1644: Orig block/invalid digits D1=0x95e D2=0x17 13:16:04 active station 4122 cid 0x17 13:16:04 denial event 2329: No BW, prowler <--> IP ep D1=0x7f000002 D2=0x17 So what does 0x17 mean please? |

Re: denial event 2329
0x1 = Private Network Serving Local User.
The Local PBX or phone system on the Called Party premise 7 is 7 whether decimal or hex and means = Cause Value 07 indicates that a new incoming call is being established and is being connected on a channel that has previously been connected to the same user for similar type calls (for example, packet mode X.25 virtual channels being established on the d-channel). Cause Value 07 (1TR6) indicates that a call resume has been attempted for a call with an identity different from any currently suspended calls. Do you have all the CLAN and MedPro programming done? Network regions? IP-Interfaces, Nodenames? Sounds like something is missing there.

Re: denial event 2329
Can someone help translate this denial event?
I have an IP trunk setup over a point to point DS3. Both end points are Avaya S8700's. The call is passed but there is no audio. denial event 2329: No BW, prowler <--> IP ep D1=0x7f40011d D2=0x189 0 |

Re: denial event 2329
2329 says "No bandwidth channel resources between processor and IP endpoint."
You say the call is setup which means you have a CLAN at each end but there is no audio, so my initial guess will be that you do not have a MedPro (also called prowler) available for the audio at one end (or both). Check your network region programming to make sure you have both resources available.
